Walk for mental health research

The Rotary Club of Salamanca hosted their second LIFT THE LID WALK in 2023 and are looking

forward to hosting again in 2024!

 

These walks was a great way to spread awareness of the 1 in 5 Australians who are suffering from a mental illness.

Help us Lift the Lid on Mental Illness this summer by walking with us!

All proceeds for the event goes  into mental health research through Australian Rotary Health.

What:

A delightful walk, not a race, along the River Derwent on the Clarence Foreshore Trail.

 

A great way to spread awareness of the 1 in 5 Australians who are suffering from a mental illness. Help us Lift the Lid on Mental Illness by walking with us!

Location Details:

Starting from Simmons Park on the Esplanade in Lindisfarne the route will be towards and under the Tasman Bridge and on to Montagu Bay and Rosny Point. Walkers have the option of turning around at any point along the route.

Simmons Park to Montagu Bay = 5.2km return

Simmons Park to Rosny Point = 8.4km return

Fee Details:

$30 early-bird registrations will include a t-shirt. Kids under 15 walk FREE! (no free shirt)

Registration:

From 9.30am - Please register and collect t-shirts.

You can register on the day, credit card facilities available.

Water:

Participants are requested to bring their own water bottles on the day.
