ABOUT THE WALK:
The “point of difference” is that the walk is not a race. It is a family occasion offering an
organised “fun” walk

The inaugural Lift the Lid Walk was held in Mooloolaba in October 2016 and has grown to include
hundreds of participants at 30 locations across Australia and raised over $470,000 for
mental health research so far.

PROJECT BENEFITS:
This is a great project because it;
-
Raises much needed funds for ARH Mental Health Research.
-
Offers an opportunity for the community to identify with those suffering from mental health issues.
-
It provides an outlet for those suffering from mental health issues. For example, every year there have been families and friends wearing their own special t-shirts honouring a loved one who has been lost as a result of a mental health issue.

2025/26 will see up to 40 locations across Australia walking for mental health research.
It is the perfect time to get your company or business involved!

Support your local community, break down the barriers and stigma associated with mental health and
help raise funds for mental health research. Today's research is tomorrow's treatment and cures.
